James Hoag, LPC graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and finished his Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at John Carroll University. He has a passion for working with adolescents, teens, and adults of all ages. He enjoys working with a variety of mental health conditions including Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, and ADHD to name a few, and all of the challenges life throws at us. He also has a passion for working with the LGBT community.
While his clinical approach usually includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Humanistic Therapy, he also believes counseling is a creative process and aims to tailor the experience to each client's individual needs. James aims to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental, and productive space for people to heal and grow.
James is a licensed professional counselor and is supervised by Leslie McClure, Psy.D.
