Hello, my name is Brent Beiling, and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I earned my bachelor's degree in psychology from Southern New Hampshire University in 2018 and completed my master's degree in clinical mental health counseling from Grand Canyon University in 2022. I began working in the mental health field in 2019 and have gained experience across multiple clinical settings, including community mental health, inpatient care, and outpatient therapy. Working in these different environments has allowed me to support individuals with a wide range of clinical needs while developing a flexible and comprehensive therapeutic approach. I am also a member of the American Counseling Association, which supports ongoing professional development, ethical practice, and evidence-based counseling standards.
My clinical work focuses on helping individuals navigate emotional and psychological challenges through evidence-based therapeutic approaches that promote resilience, self-awareness, and meaningful personal growth. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and restructure unhelpful thinking patterns, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to strengthen emotional regulation and distress tolerance skills, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients build psychological flexibility and align behavior with personal values, and Motivational Interviewing to support clients in resolving ambivalence and increasing readiness for change. I also incorporate psychodynamic perspectives to explore deeper emotional patterns, early relational experiences, and unconscious processes that may influence current thoughts, behaviors, and relationships. In addition, I utilize Compassion-Focused Therapy to help clients reduce shame and develop healthier self-relating, as well as Strengths-Based Therapy to identify and build upon existing personal resources, resilience, and adaptive coping capacities.
All of these approaches are applied through a trauma-informed framework that prioritizes safety, collaboration, empowerment, and an understanding of how past experiences can shape present emotional and behavioral responses. I have specialized areas of interest in working with individuals experiencing ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), mood disorders, and complex PTSD. My goal is to help clients develop practical coping strategies, increase insight into their internal experiences, and build sustainable patterns that support long-term mental and emotional well-being.
