Dr. Elizabeth Emley is a recent clinical psychology graduate of Bowling Green State University after completing her internship at the University of Akron Counseling and Testing Center. She is completing her postdoctoral training here at KPA to continue her passion for helping individuals manage the complexities of the mind, body, and soul. Her work is directly supervised by Dr. Leslie McClure.
Dr. Emley has experience working with adolescents and adults with difficulties related to anxiety, depression, trauma, eating concerns, relationship distress, and major life transitions. Dr. Emley has a special interest in assisting individuals who have experienced relational trauma and have difficulties with achieving a desired lifestyle. She primarily utilizes Person-Centered, Emotion Focused, and Cognitive Behavioral approaches to promote health and wellness across the lifespan.
Dr. Emley also conducts required pre-surgical evaluation for bariatric and chronic pain surgery candidates as well as neuropsychological testing. She is dedicated to improving the integration of various health care providers and will work hard to ensure quality coordination of care with your physicians.
In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys walking in nature, reading fiction, playing board games, and spending time with her husband and three cats.
