Todd Newman


Todd Newman MSW, LISW graduated from The University of Akron in 2008 with a Master's Degree in Social Work and has been independently licensed to practice psychotherapy in a private setting since 2011. He began his clinical career in 2007, gaining experience with many diverse individuals, while honing expertise and applying various theoretical approaches to promote client well-being.

Todd's approach to therapy is eclectic, using techniques and modalities from many approaches in order to enhance client life satisfaction. His personal theory for change in a clinical setting is that counseling needs to be practical, goal-focused and strength-based. His particular clinical expertise includes, but is not limited to: Rogerian, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution-focused and Motivational Interviewing.

When not providing counseling to clients, Todd enjoys spending time with his young daughter and reading.
