Individual Therapy for Adults

Individual therapy, also known as counseling, focuses on the development of new skills and improved coping strategies to better manage moods and emotions, change behavior patterns, and address difficulties in relationships. All individual therapy starts with a diagnostic assessment to identify any potential mental health diagnosis, current stressors, personal strengths, and the client’s goals for treatment. Together, the therapist and client develop an individualized treatment plan. If needed, our therapists will coordinate with your primary care doctor or a psychiatrist in cases where medication is needed.
